Committed to Excellence

The University of Yaoundé II was created on 19 January 1993 by Decree No. 93/026 establishing the State Universities of Cameroon.She is from the old University of Yaounde.

It is built on five (05) campuses:

  • The Soa campus which houses the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences (FSJP) and Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences (FSEG)

  • the Ngoa Ekelle campus where is built the Higher School of Information and Communication Sciences and Techniques (ESSTIC) and Institute of Training and Demographic Research (IFORD)

  • the Obili campus where is housed the Institute of International Relations of Cameroon (IRIC)

  • the Bertoua Campus, Annex of the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences (FSJP)

  • Ebolowa Campus, Annex of the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences (FSJP)

The main campus of SOA covers an area of 323 hectares .

MISSIONS

The missions of the University of Yaoundé II are:

  • teaching

  • executive training and development,

  • development support,

  • social promotion,

  • the promotion of science, culture and national consciousness.
