MERITEE RETIREMENT FOR ALICE DELPHINE TANG

The former secretary general of the University of Yaounde II said goodbye to the university community of this institution this November 26, 2018, after 3 years of service.

Professor Tang is Professor of Literature. She was appointed secretary general at the University of Yaounde II in October 2015, after having held the same position at the University of Douala.

At the University of Yaoundé II, Professor Tang fought for the integration of women in the management of the University. She was the chair of the gender committee at the institution, where she appointed 3 men as focal points. " The fight for the integration of women in academia should not be a fight against men. This fight should rather be conducted with men, "she said. For the last three years, Dr. Tang was also the General Coordinator of activities marking the celebration of International Women's Day at the University of Yaounde II.



Pr Adolphe Minkoa she keeps her memories of an exemplary collaborator.

"Madam Professor, you have been a loyal and sincere collaborator; you knew how to put your intelligence and your competence at the service of the University of Yaounde II. I thank you for your unfailing and never-feigned collaboration and wish you, not a peaceful and well-deserved retirement, but a boost of energy for your new life that begins, always in the service of science . "
