RESOLUTIONS OF THE UNIVERSITY COUNCIL OF 20 DECEMBER 2018

The University of Yaoundé 2 held a regular session of its University Council on December 20, 2018, in the Proceedings Room of the Soa Campus. The work was chaired by Pr Adolphe She, Rector of the institution.

Among the items on the agenda were among others: the adoption of the minutes of the University Council of August 2, 2018 and the state of execution of resolutions, the update on academic activities and the start of the 2018 academic year. -2019, the graduation, the adoption of the minutes of the exams of the year 2017-2018, the point on research and cooperation at the University of Yaoundé II, the operation of vocational courses, the opening of other institutions, and the career of teachers.



On the report of the academic year, the Council noted from the reports of the heads of institutions, that the academic year 2017-2018 went well, and that the year 2018-2019 actually began in September 2018.

As part of the special recruitment of teachers instructed by the Head of State, the University Yaoundé 2 will recruit 200 teachers for the 5 institutions.

The report on the start of the 2018-2019 school year reveals that the University of Yaounde 2 has around 29,000 students this year and will present 69 teachers for the list of aptitude for the change of custody at the next IAC.

As part of the supervision of assistant teachers, the rector Prof Adolphe Minkoa She announced the establishment of a unit in charge of pedagogy and the organization of educational seminars in institutions and at the level of the Rectorate.

On research and cooperation, the Council of the University of Yaoundé 2 congratulated the teachers who conducted research and published numerous books, articles and took part in international seminars and symposia. He recommended that teachers and other officials make this abundant scientific activity visible on the University's website.



In the vocational streams, the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences has proposed the opening of 14 students, and the competition has proposed four.

The Rector has instructed that Reflection be conducted on the creation of six new institutions at the University of Yaounde II: the Institute of Archivist, the Institute of Legal Trades, the Institute of Political Studies, Yaounde Business School, the Institute of Agricultural and Rural Economics, the Institute of Oriental Studies that will do some sort of expertise to the government on various aspects, diplomacy communication economics law ...
